At Developing Health and Independence, we are inviting Peer Support Volunteers, who understand the challenges of quitting smoking, to join our smoking cessation mission. Your lived experience makes you uniquely powerful in helping others take their first steps toward a smokefree life. You can make a real difference in the community, build valuable skills and find a purpose through sharing your journey while inspiring others. We will provide you with the tools, resources and specialist support needed to help others give up smoking. Join a welcoming and supportive network and help save lives .

As well as helping others, becoming a peer at DHI gives you the opportunity to turn your own lived experience into something positive, building confidence, skills, self-worth and a sense of purpose. With training, supervision and support, it can also provide a stepping stone into further education, volunteering or paid employment - 59% of our peers progress into one of these areas. Peers will also have access to accredited qualifications through the DHI Peer Academy.
