IT Support Volunteer
Community Scrapstore North Somerset
Supporting our team to make full use of shared IT systems and tools
You will provide the expertise and support that the team needs to make full use of our shared IT tools and processes. You will set up and maintain a shared file system, ensuring compliance with GDRP requirements and make sure that we have effective back-up and virus protection strategies in place. You may also be asked to support update of our website and help us investigate new IT systems that might be useful in the day-to-day management of our charity. We may sometimes also ask you to shadow some of our other volunteering roles so that we have adequate cover if people are unavailable.

Good IT Skills, Organising & Planning, Web Design
Good knowledge of MS Excel and Word, Google products and shared workspaces and keeping information secure and backed up. Ability to investigate and introduce other IT tools if needed. Patience in teaching and supporting people with different levels of IT experience. Web design and updating experience beneficial.
Our volunteers love the Community Scrapstore. We offer a unique service to our community, our members are lovely and there’s always a friendly can-do atmosphere. You will gain experience in IT support and training. Some of your tasks can be done remotely but we would like you to be in store from time to time and reasonably flexible on when support can be given.
