Can you help support our activity sessions for autistic adults

Detailed Description

We are looking for people 18+ who have some spare time and would like to give back time to the local community, by supporting activity sessions at our centre. The activities include games, art and craft, quizzes and baking sessions

What skills are required for this role

Art & Craft

Why these skills are required

Good communication and interpersonal skills Empathy, understanding and sensitive to the needs of others. Interests in cooking and qualifications and/or experience Ability to volunteer within the boundaries of NAS policies, eg Safeguarding, Confidentiality, Lone Working etc Reliable, consistent, dependable and trustworthy You will need to provide 2 references and also complete a DBS check

Time Commitment

The sessions take place once a month on a Wednesday evening (usually the last Wednesday of each month) Sessions run from 5.30 to 9pm Based at The National Autistic Society Centre in Weston super Mare, North Somerset. You need to live locally to our service to do this role
