Role Purpose The Partnerships Lead will play a vital role in expanding Donate For Defib’s impact across Weston-super-Mare by developing and managing strategic relationships with corporate companies, local businesses, community leaders, and major sponsors. This role is focused on building meaningful partnerships that generate funding, sponsorship, in-kind support, and collaborative initiatives to increase access to publicly available defibrillators within our local community.
Role Purpose The Partnerships Lead will play a vital role in expanding Donate For Defib’s impact across Weston-super-Mare by developing and managing strategic relationships with corporate companies, local businesses, community leaders, and major sponsors. This role is focused on building meaningful partnerships that generate funding, sponsorship, in-kind support, and collaborative initiatives to increase access to publicly available defibrillators within our local community. The successful volunteer will bring energy, creativity, and strategic thinking to help grow sustainable partnerships that make a lasting difference. Key Responsibilities 1. Partnership Development Identify, research, and approach potential corporate partners, local businesses, and leading community sponsors. Develop tailored partnership proposals aligned with corporate social responsibility (CSR) objectives. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with sponsors and stakeholders. Represent Donate For Defib at networking events and community meetings. 2. Sponsorship & Fundraising Strategy Develop and implement a local partnership strategy to support defibrillator provision. Create tiered sponsorship packages (e.g., Bronze, Silver, Gold). Work with the team to secure funding for new defibrillator installations and maintenance. Identify opportunities for matched funding, payroll giving, and corporate fundraising events. 3. Innovation & Growth Generate new ideas for corporate engagement campaigns. Develop collaborative initiatives with businesses (e.g., sponsored community events, awareness campaigns). Explore strategic partnerships with key local employers and community hubs. Seek innovative funding streams and community-based sponsorship models. 4. Community Engagement Strengthen Donate For Defib’s visibility within Weston-super-Mare’s business community. Support public awareness initiatives alongside sponsors. Promote the life-saving importance of defibrillator access and CPR awareness. Help build a strong network of local advocates and supporters. 5. Reporting & Relationship Management Track partnership progress and sponsorship outcomes. Provide regular updates to the Founder/Trustees on partnership activity. Ensure sponsors receive recognition and impact reporting. Skills & Experience (Desirable) Experience in business development, partnerships, sales, or fundraising. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities. Confidence approaching senior stakeholders and corporate decision-makers. Passion for community impact and saving lives. Local knowledge of Weston-super-Mare business community (highly desirable).
