Role Purpose: To support fundraising activities, awareness campaigns, and community events that help raise funds for defibrillators and promote cardiac safety within the local community. General Volunteers are the friendly face of the project — helping engage the public, support event delivery, and contribute to the overall success of the initiative.
Role Purpose: To support fundraising activities, awareness campaigns, and community events that help raise funds for defibrillators and promote cardiac safety within the local community. Key Responsibilities: 🎪 Event Support Assist with setting up and packing down fundraising stalls and event spaces Help manage merchandise tables, donation buckets, or raffle ticket sales Welcome and engage members of the public at events Provide basic information about the project and its goals 💷 Fundraising Assistance Support community fundraising activities (coffee mornings, charity walks, collections, etc.) Encourage donations in a friendly and respectful manner Handle donations responsibly in line with project procedures Assist with counting and recording funds where required 📣 Awareness & Promotion Distribute leaflets and promotional materials Share project information with local residents and businesses Promote upcoming events within the community Represent the project positively at all times 🤝 Community Engagement Act as a welcoming ambassador for the project Build rapport with members of the public Help create an inclusive, supportive atmosphere at events 🛠 General Duties Follow health and safety guidance at events Work as part of a team and take direction from the Event Lead Report any concerns or incidents to the Project Coordinator Maintain confidentiality where required.

Person Specification Essential Friendly, approachable, and reliable Good communication skills Willingness to engage with the public Enthusiasm for supporting community health initiatives Able to work as part of a team Desirable (but not required) Previous volunteering or fundraising experience Basic knowledge of defibrillators or first aid Experience in customer service or community events.
