Volunteer Gardener with Portishead in Bloom Joining other enthusiastic volunteer gardeners looking after twenty sites across the town. Regular well-publicised work parties. No expertise needed, just enthusiasm. Lots of support available. Volunteers simply turn up with their own gardening gloves, hand tools and green rubbish bags to weed, prune, tidy and replant as required.
To join other enthusiastic volunteer gardeners caring for over twenty areas of the town. There are weekly work parties advertised on our dedicated noticeboards in the town, on the website and in our newsletters. Working with enthusiastic people, outdoors. Good for fitness and for positivity!! We get lots of grateful comments from people in the town who appreciate our work too
Work parties are 9.30-11.30 - usually once a week with extras some weekends. Some volunteers garden at other times in specific places too. No pressure to attend regularly, just turn up when you can.
