To support residents in rural villages of North Somerset to undertake a variety of tasks as required
The Good Neighbour Scheme is managed by Voluntary Action North Somerset (VANS) and aims to support older people over 65 in rural villages of North Somerset to maintain a good quality of life, remain independent and stay happy by volunteering to undertake "odd jobs" and small practical tasks.

Art & Craft, Basic IT skills - internet & email, Cleaning & Tidying, Gardening, Reading & Writing
Reliable, punctual, socialable, able to work on own initiative and willing to share their skills. Will be asked in the application form to say what skills you are willing to share such as gardening, cooking and the types of tasks you would not want to do such as heavy lifting etc.
Feeling valued, sharing skills, meeting new people, staying active and supporting someone over 65 to stay independent in their own homes,
Between 1 and 2 hours for between 6 and 10 sessions. Flexible and will vary. Will not include any evenings or weekend at the moment.
