Our volunteer drivers provide safe, clean and reliable transport to those who are sight-impaired or severely sight-impaired from their homes to activities within their local communities and back again. Key tasks Collect service users from home and transport them to another location Return service user home, waiting at destination if necessary Engage service user in conversation during journey Guide service user from and to car, from and to destination if necessary
Driving (must have full driving licence)

Helpful experience and skills . A pleasant manner to engage with service users . Understanding of the mobility needs of people who are blind or partially sighted . Courteous and reliable . Sensitive and discreet with personal information Required: . Enhanced + DBS check (run by us) . Two character references . Clean safe vehicle . Insurance suitable for transporting people as a volunteer
We provide tarining os sight loss and sighted guide training We pay 25p per mile travel expenses
