Our Resources Advisors help people with assistive technology
Our Resources Advisors help people with visual or hearing impairments to discover how assistive equipment, smartphones, apps and computers can help them to stay independent and connected. This could include demonstrations at events around the county, or one-to-one help at our Weston base or a meeting place near the home of a service user. We’ll provide training, though you will need to be a knowledgeable user of smartphones and MS Office.

Basic IT skills - internet & email, Good IT Skills, Managing People
Help experience and skills: . A pleasant manner to engage with service users . Understanding of how visual and hearing impairments affect how smartphones and computers can be used . Very confident with smartphones, laptops and the internet . Able to explain clearly . Teaching/training/demonstrating experience . Reliable and trustworthy Required:- DBS check or Enhanced DBS for some roles (run by us) Two character references
We will offer training to support you in this role, including Sighted guide training.
Flexible from 2 hours a week

As a charity, we cover the whole of North Somerset. Whilst we try to match you with somebody local, there may be time you will need to travel.
