Health Walk Leader
North Somerset Council - Health Walks
If you enjoy being active outdoors and like to support individuals get more active then volunteering for the health walks programme will provide you with that volunteering opportunity.
Our walks are intended to help people who need to get more active to improve or maintain their health. The health walks aim to be sociable and enjoyable and are based from the main towns in North Somerset. Walkers do not need to be super fit and will be supported by the leaders. Walks last no more than an hour and are generally taken at various paces to suit all abilities. Walk leading experience is not required as training is provided. Leading Health Walks and helping others can be a very enjoyable and rewarding experience. You will meet and chat with new people and will be able to discover paths and open spaces that you did not know existed. We are always striving to work with those that need support to get active for a range of health conditions. Volunteers with previous experience of working with those with mental health and/or people with chronic health conditions would be particularly welcome to get in touch.
